全球知名量產斗廠(起始於1858年)，屬大型彎斗...有美麗的金屬飾環。

The origin of the brand reaches back to 1858 when Jean-Baptiste Choquin

in collaboration with his son-in-law Gustave Butz created their first pipe in Metz (France).

Since 1951 Butz-Choquin is a brand of the Berrod-Regad group (Saint-Claude, France).

Jean Paul Berrod managed the company from 1969 to 2002 when he retired and sold the

corporate to Mr Fabien Gichon. Denis Blanc, allready owner of EWA,

took over the S.A. Berrod-Regad in 2006.

The white extension was formerly (19th century) made of a hollow Albatross bone (Radius).

【LORENZO】義大利知名品牌煙斗製造廠出品，石楠木製閱讀彎式煙斗。

品牌起始於二戰後1946年，至今經過轉手後仍繼續生產~算是老斗廠囉。

燃燒室與斗缽口沒燒蝕碳化崩塌情形，斗嘴手工打磨~烏黑晶亮沒咬痕。

斗長 : 30.0，  斗高 : 4.7，  斗寬 : 3.1，  斗口 : 1.9 公分V型。

此斗已整體手工打磨大翻新、染色、做膜完畢，斗身修長~作工非常優。

難得斗缽夠大(一般閱讀斗斗缽都非常小)，斗嘴沒打抖~手工非常漂亮。

煙道頭段為3mm鑽孔，榫頭中段濾心處為3mm設定，斗嘴末端以2mm收尾。

此斗狀態非常好...重翻新後非常漂亮，斗身手工非常素雅..氣質破錶。

修長的斗嘴非常難做，能做得均勻對稱~是考驗煙斗工藝師手工的造詣。

此斗手工修飾得非常好對稱又平整，這種素雅造型長斗~拚的就是手工。

【四千五百元整】修長的閱讀斗(俗稱魔戒斗)，木料手工優~值得擁有。

【YORKSHIRE】美國早期量產煙斗製造廠出品，石楠木製傳統彎式煙斗。

此斗的斗缽環繞著美麗的直紋~上下則是鳥眼紋，完整度優色澤很沉穩。

燃燒室與斗缽口沒燒蝕碳化崩塌情形，斗嘴手工打磨~烏黑晶亮沒咬痕。

斗長 : 15.0，   斗高 : 4.8，   斗寬 : 3.9，   斗口 : 2.1 公分。

此斗已整體手工打磨大翻新、染色、做膜完畢，色澤沉穩~充滿古拙感。

這支斗屬一級料，只因有幾處細小砂孔(廠方有填補)~才淪落做量產斗。

煙道頭段為3mm鑽孔，榫頭中段濾心處為3mm設定，斗嘴末段以2mm收尾。

量產斗裡常有好康能撿，猶如此斗紋路、密度超好只因稍有小砂孔....

因為砂孔而被打入量產斗，但對抽斗沒有影；碰到這種斗哈...撿到了。

這就像名牌煙斗因為一級料稍有砂孔...就被打入副品牌生產例子一樣。

四驅越野新手的經驗報告 : 

自1988年台灣開放越野四輪傳動車進口...老娘等人就衝在前開始越野。

經過經驗累積後對大自然存著敬畏的心，每一場越野都當自己~新挑戰。

秘境草原越野錄影老娘看過無數次錄影...想給馬車朋友一些經驗交換。

【一】爛泥地越野首先要了解自己車況，馬車因為沒啥改裝套件~吃虧。

但是馬車的馬力和扭力非常迷人，是個有潛力的績優股。

仍然能靠經驗和技巧克服障礙，您可以準備另一組粗花越野輪胎備用。

(當天容易打滑吃虧在輪胎的胎紋，幾乎都是柏油路用的高速胎)。

要越野前一天換上粗花胎準備戰鬥，換裝粗花胎可自行換輪胎....

【二】越野前須先洩胎壓，越野後再用打氣機補回胎壓。

胎壓可洩至15~20psi，這要看路況、輪圈與輪胎胎塊配置有所調整。

那天路況可洩胎壓至18psi左右(越野胎正常胎壓30~35psi)。

【三】那天路況是平坦草原，不似山壁和懸崖小路顧忌那麼多....

所以較簡單些。咱們利用重力加速度的原理...加速衝過爛泥地。

慢速也是打滑、快速也是打滑，所以咱們利用重力加速度....

衝過時考驗經驗和反應...快速在打滑中修正方向盤....

待前輪接觸到硬地回復抓地力...恭喜您衝過爛泥攻關成功。

萬一衝到陷入請別擔心(平地草原很好拖救)，您只要先轉方向盤...

退後，為啥要轉方向盤退後 ? 這是要脫離打滑的溝槽 !

然後找旁邊沒壓到的地方...加速衝，也許得反覆多次退衝。

【THE TINDER BOX】美國煙斗品牌製造廠出品，石楠木創作~手工彎斗。

此品牌分為:美國廠與英國廠和丹麥生產，此斗是丹麥工廠早期所生產。

燃燒室與斗缽口沒燒蝕碳化崩塌情形，斗嘴手工打磨~烏黑晶亮有修補。

斗長 : 17.5，  斗高 : 7.1，  斗寬 : 5.6，  斗口 : 2.2 公分V型。

此斗已整體手工打磨大翻新、染色、做膜完畢，完整度~鏡面效果很優。

石楠木瘤與紋路非常漂亮，奔放式斗缽至今仍為高級斗採用~非常流行。

煙道頭段為3mm鑽孔，榫頭中段濾心處為3mm設定，斗嘴末端為2mm收尾。

上圖右下紅箭頭處~斗嘴咬痕修補，為保持原廠斗嘴整體性沒另作斗嘴。

斗嘴應列為消耗品，此斗嘴只有背面咬痕，可加價~重做一支全新斗嘴。

老娘建議有叼斗習慣的斗友斗嘴套上咬嘴套，醬子就可避免~斗嘴咬痕。

有些斗友說套上咬嘴套不習慣?剛開始老娘也不習慣但是用久了就習慣。

套上咬嘴套能維護斗嘴(而且軟軟的)，咬起來久了...還真是挺舒服滴。

不信您問問老婆或女友讓不讓您咬，騙您隔壁桌打電腦那馬子~是小狗。

別堅持...有斗友跟老娘買了煙斗一個月就咬爛了，只好..重新做斗嘴。

斗嘴如要用車床車是很貴的，利用修護半成品全新斗嘴~稍稍便宜一些。

但修護半成品全要手工製作，因為重上車床找到中心點~是件大麻煩事。

就算是找到中心點車好...第二工序以後還是要用手工剉和打磨與拋光。

老娘退休後忙著越野露營、忙著玩音樂、忙遊山玩水~沒時間做新斗嘴。

您若執意要做新斗嘴(請撿老娘有空時~別催)，這就是所謂慢工出細活。

【一萬二千元整】整支斗猶如全新煙斗，色澤卻充滿...養斗後的色澤。

【YELLO-BOLE】美國早期量產煙斗製造廠出品，石楠木製口袋型短斗。

已絕版老型號~很難得的是全新品，保持原汁原味原出廠狀態~不翻新。

揣在口袋攜帶方便，一斗菸草可享受2~30分鐘(視斗主技術有所增減)。

斗長 : 10.3，   斗高 : 3.9，   斗寬 : 2.8，   斗口 : 1.8公分。

斗缽內燃燒室是YELLO-BOLE專有調配的隔熱塗層，塗層顏色都是黃色。

現今很少見到市面上有斗廠出品這類短斗，此斗為早期"原廠庫存斗"。

煙道頭段為4mm鑽孔，榫頭中段濾心處為3mm設定，斗嘴末端~2mm收尾。

【Dr.Grabow】美國早期量產煙斗製造大廠，石楠木製雕刻型直式煙斗。

美國歷史悠久的量產煙斗老斗廠，亦設有手工煙斗部門...生產手工斗。

燃燒室與斗缽口沒燒蝕碳化崩塌情形，斗嘴手工打磨~烏黑晶亮沒咬痕。

斗長 : 14.5，   斗高 : 4.3，   斗寬 : 3.3，   斗口 : 1.8 公分。

此斗已整體手工打磨大翻新、染色、做膜完畢，外觀典雅~充滿古拙感。

斗嘴使用與彼得森一樣的P型斗嘴(軍插式)，斗身光滑平整..非常漂亮。

煙道頭段為3mm鑽孔，榫頭中段濾心處為3mm設定，斗嘴末端以2mm收尾。

Dr. Grabow pipes began with Louis B. Linkman († 1957),

of the M. Linkman and Co. of Chicago in 1932 (Pat # 1 896 800).

Linkman and Co. ceased producing the Dr. Grabow pipes around 1953.

After this date the brand was owned by Henry Leonard and Thomas (HLT), Inc.

of Queens, New York and produced by Sparta Pipes Inc.
In 1969, US Tobacco acquired Sparta Pipes and rights to Dr. Grabow.
Lane Ltd. acquired the Dr. Grabow property from US Tobacco. Lane Ltd.

came under ownership of RJ Reynolds and British American Tobacco in about 2000.
Dr. Paul E. Grabow died in 1965 at age 97.
Production (2006): ~250,000 pipes/year

The logo is the propeller pre-spade marking.

The earliest Dr. Grabow pipes are stamped with both Linkman's and

Dr. Grabow, described as Bruyere, or Italian Briar.

 

Pre-1944 model names included the SPECIAL, the DELUXE (this pipe), and the SUPREME.

The Linkman's stamp was discontinued around 1944.

Linkman's Dr. Grabow pipes are also stamped with

a 4-digit code indicating the model and shape.

One of the earliest pipes of the RJ Reynolds era.

D.G斗廠是間老牌斗廠(起始於1932年)，親民路線走向價格普及率很高。

軍插式榫頭雖可熱插拔...但是抽斗中除了清除煙道阻塞盡量少熱插拔。

此做法是減少熱插拔避免榫頭漏氣，雖然梯形榫頭可熱插拔~盡量少拔。

屬於中大型廠斗，一斗菸草約可享受45分鐘~(視有無助燃網和和技術)。

【一千八百元整】典雅的復古外觀當作老手或新手日常用斗~非常划算。

【PORKER】英國廠牌已搜尋不到相關資料，石楠木製~噴砂型直式煙斗。

早期煙斗許多已無法找到原廠資料，此斗落款已模糊不清~查找更困難。

燃燒室與斗缽口沒燒蝕碳化崩塌情形，斗嘴手工打磨~烏黑晶亮沒咬痕。

斗長 : 12.8，   斗高 : 4.4，   斗寬 : 3.4，   斗口 : 2.0 公分。

此斗已整體手工整理大翻新、染色、做膜完畢，外觀古色斑斕~超古拙。

樹瘤紋路仍非常清晰...燃燒室非常漂亮無缺損，沒有任何的碳化跡象。

廠牌模糊稍稍可辨認，煙道底部字跡仍非常清晰...(出產地國家名稱)。

煙道頭段為3mm鑽孔，榫頭中段濾心處為3mm設定，斗嘴末端以2mm收尾。

這支英式老斗品牌老娘非常陌生，廠牌模糊下搜尋的相關資料~對不上。

但是樹瘤非常漂亮細密度非常好，更難得的是斗身沒看到砂孔~很難得。

依斗嘴形式看來...有點像"LHS"集團旗下的斗廠...也正好有菱形標記。

斗身很輕適合長時間叼斗，屬於廠斗裡的中大型斗約可抽斗...40分鐘。

【一千五百元整】此英式老斗適合當作日常用斗...新手亦非常適用滴。

土耳其小作坊標準不落款型手工斗，塊狀海泡石雕刻~蘇丹頭彎式煙斗。

屬中型斗；斗身非常輕~完整度非常優，榫頭非螺旋式接合緊密不漏風。

燃燒室與斗缽口非常ok沒有崩塌情形，斗嘴為:仿波羅底海琥珀成型的。

斗長 : 12.7，   斗高 : 6.1，   斗寬 : 3.2，   斗口 : 1.8 公分。

此斗前任斗主沒抽過幾斗(菸鍋內還很新)，所以保持原汁原味~不翻新。

耐燒又質輕吸水性優是海泡石煙斗的特性，非常適合新手們~當練習斗。

不必擔心燒毀煙斗...對新手們壓力較輕，可以放膽地慢慢練習抽煙斗。

煙道頭段為3mm鑽孔，榫頭中段濾心處為2mm設定，斗嘴末端以2mm收尾。

土耳其的海泡石小作坊非常多，多為家庭式~煙斗產量非常少也沒商標。

大量交貨這種沒商標的小作坊~也做不到，只靠精細的雕刻聞名於斗界。

台灣坊間有假海泡石煙斗來於對岸，色澤呈青灰色~而不是正常的白色。

是粉末灌漿形成一般只做成素面煙斗，斗身較重~經比對非常好辨認的。

【二千八百元整】價格親民當作日常用斗...或是新手練習用斗非常好。

【KAYWOODIE】美國早期量產煙斗製造廠出品，石楠木內嵌海泡石直斗。

早期的老骨董煙斗充滿了回憶，狀況沒問題尤其適合新手當作~練習斗。

燃燒室與斗缽口沒破落燒蝕碳化問題，斗嘴手工打磨~烏黑晶亮沒咬痕。

斗長 : 17.0，   斗高 : 5.2，   斗寬 : 4.6，   斗口 : 1.7 公分。

此斗已整體手工打磨大翻新、染色、做膜完畢，外觀古拙~鏡面效果優。

此斗的鳥眼紋路非常美木料細密度佳，沒啥砂孔~算是一塊不錯的木瘤。

煙道頭段為3mm鑽孔，金屬螺旋榫頭附冷凝器(毒刺)，斗嘴末~2mm收尾。

Oversize Kaywoodie

▲  Among the seven Oversize finishes shown in the 1947 catalog,

two were banded: the "Goliath" (Virgin finish) and the "Hercules" (Walnut finish).

This pipe seems to be a "Hercules".

▲ Among the Oversize models only one is meerschaum lined

(see this pipe detailed views): It is called the "Samson".

All the Oversize models are stamped "Hand Made".

 

Red Root

The Red Root is not a part of the original Kaywoodie line.

It is a style of pipe introduced in 1976 by S.M. Frank after that company purchased Kaywoodie.

Ruf-Tone

Rustica

Setter

Period: 1955 -1968

The model has a flat bottom (hence "Setter") and is available in panel (this pipe),

billiard and poker shapes. It comes without system (stinger) and with a push stem.

Shellcraft

Stampings of a Shellcraft pipe crafted in the early 1930s with a Synchro-stem system.

The pipe is sandblasted while the early Shellcraft was rusticated.

The "drinkless logo" on the stem has been replaced by a clover and a 4 digit shape number

has been attributed indicating thus the entry of the Shellcraft into Kaywoodie's lines.

Silhouette

Pipes of the Silhouette line allways came in a sandblasted finish and with a metal band.

Stembiter

The bit incorporated a 3-way smoke passage with two of the passages terminating

in the lip-end of the bit and the third in the notch on the top of the bit (see enlarged picture #3).

The model has been released in the early 1950's

Super Grain

▲ This pipe is stamped with a four digit number which situates

its production year between 1931 and 1938.

Because of the introduction of the "Imported Briar" stamping in 1935,

the pipe could have been manufactured between 1935 and 1938.

Compare the stampings of these two pipes:

Early Super Grains were stamped Super Grain over top of Kaywoodie.

 

White Briar

intruduced in 1953 since it appeared on a calendar of that year.

Period: 1951-1989

The bowls of the White Briar line come with hard white finish. Note a different

screw thread as for the usual Synchro Stem patent .
